Job summary

Big O Tires is seeking a General Service Technician to perform service and installation activities with store products and services in a timely, accurate manner. The role requires strong customer service and safety awareness in a retail environment.

Responsibilities include tire installation, oil changes, fluid checks, parts stocking, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while greeting customers and promoting service benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older (with parental consent)
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to exchange accurate information with customers

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires; torque wheels; check and fill fluids
• Unload tires and merchandise from transports and deliveries
• Inspect disposed tires for adjustment and proper storage
• Maintain clean facilities, tools, and shelves
• Provide fast and friendly customer service and promote sales
• Perform pricing, promotions, and vendor check-in according to policy
• Maintain store appearance to Big O Tires standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles in service areas
• Complete required training and keep supervisor informed of issues
• Assist in training new employees
