Job summary

Pep Boys Inc in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a General Service Technician with mechanical aptitude to perform basic automotive services, tire work, oil changes, and vehicle inspections while delivering excellent customer experience.

You will maintain a clean, safe shop, assist fellow technicians, and may advise customers on services. High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and 18+ required; evening/weekend shifts possible; training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and driven to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Stay current with new automotive tech through formal training sessions.
• Perform oil changes, tire maintenance, and battery checks.
• Install headlights and other bulbs; repair flat tires.
• Stock and unload tires; assist fellow technicians.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and adhere to safety policies.
