Job summary

Pep Boys in Baytown, TX is seeking a General Service Technician with mechanical aptitude to perform basic automotive services, tire work, oil changes, and inspections while delivering excellent customer service. You will maintain a clean, safe work area and assist fellow technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive issues including brakes and suspensions.
• Perform oil changes, tire maintenance, and related services.
• Install batteries, headlights and perform tire repairs.
• Keep work area clean and safe while following all policies.
• Assist technicians and communicate with customers on services.
• Stock tires and parts and report problems to management.
• Adhere to safety and environmental rules at all times.
