Job summary
Pep Boys Inc in Wake Forest, NC is seeking a General Service Technician with mechanical aptitude to perform basic automotive services, tire mounting and balancing, tire repairs, oil changes, and vehicle inspections while delivering an outstanding customer experience. You will keep the shop clean and safe, assist fellow technicians, and may advise customers on recommended services.
A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required; candidates should be willing to work days, nights,
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
- Mechanical aptitude for basic automotive services.
Responsibilities
- Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
- Change engine oil and filter.
- Install and perform tire maintenance and balancing.
- Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
- Install headlights and other bulbs and repair flat tires.
- Stock and unload tires; assist other technicians in technical activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized shop and adhere to safety rules.
