Pep Boys Inc. is hiring a General Service Technician in Houston. You will perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire maintenance, battery checks and more while delivering excellent customer experience.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a passion for automotive tech, and willingness to learn. Works include days, nights, weekends, and holidays with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and driven to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Continuously learn new technical information in formal training sessions to stay current with automotive technology.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other bulbs.
• Repair flat tires.
• Stock and unload tires.
• Assist technicians in performing technical activities when needed.
• Report repair issues to management as they occur.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe shop environment.
