Midas | Leeds West Groups is hiring a General Service Technician in Des Moines, IA. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs, using diagnostic tools to identify issues and ensure service quality.

Excellent customer communication and teamwork are essential to deliver legendary service. The role requires safety adherence, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Active driver’s license required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year related experience preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• MVR check and clean driving record required

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, filters, etc.
• Assist and conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, or safety needs
• Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately
• Use diagnostic equipment and manuals to diagnose automotive problems
• Ensure work meets manufacturer specs and safety standards
• Communicate repair recommendations and estimates to customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe workspace per OSHA and company policies
• Assist in coordinating workflow with senior technicians and management
