Job summary

MEI Group Arlington Truck Center is seeking a Service Advisor in Arlington, TX to enhance the vehicle repair process and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a call-center style environment.

You will guide customers, prioritize services, and work with technicians to maximize efficiency while ensuring warranty coverage and quality standards are met. This full-time role offers growth opportunities within MEI Group.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
• Drive the sales of technicians’ time to meet department forecasts.
• Prioritize required service and provide options when requested.
• Ensure customers have a positive dealership experience.
• Monitor vehicle approval process and manage priority dispatching for repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve vehicle quality questions.
• Verify warranty coverage by reviewing records and papers.
• Maintain service workbook and communicate estimates and returns to customers.
• Explain estimates, obtain customer approvals, and arrange towing or transportation when needed.
• Use reports to identify trends and inform repair decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Overview

The Service Advisor position is responsible for driving the growth of the business by improving the operational efficiency and consistency of the customer vehicle repair process and adherence to MEI Group’s diagnostic and repair processes. This position will be working in a call center type environment.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure that customer receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
• Drive the sales of technicians’ time to meet department sales forecast.
• Prioritize required service and be prepared to provide options upon request
• Ensure customer has a positive dealership experience.
• Monitor the vehicle approval process for mechanical warrant completion and manages vehicle priority dispatching using the MEI Group as needed as needed for repair.
• Partners with other functional areas and managers as needed to collaborate on questions of vehicle quality and potential kicks.
• Verifies vehicle warranty coverage by examining records and papers.
• Monitors and updates the service workbook to efficiently be able to update the customer.
• Maintains internal and external customer service ex communication by explainingestimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer's approval ofestimates, obtaining, and providing contact telephone numbers, answeringquestions and concerns, arranging towing and temporary transportation.
• Utilizes reports, analyzes information, and monitors trends to identify if repairs are needed or meet company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
