MEI Group is seeking an Automotive Quality Control Inspector at our Arlington, TX facility to audit, inspect, and document vehicle inventory. You will verify records, protect assets, and coordinate with service, retail, and corporate teams while updating inventory systems.

The role involves inspecting incoming vehicles, identifying safety issues, taking photos, driving tests, and supporting reconciliations. Prior dealership experience is a plus, driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of experience in automotive repair, lube technician work, or related fields.
• Strong written communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Prior dealership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming vehicles at the assigned location
• Perform detailed check-ins, noting all safety issues and required repairs
• Photograph vehicles and upload images to the computer system
• Update vehicle status in the system upon arrival and throughout the reconditioning process
• Coordinate with the Reconditioning and Inspection Manager to prioritize vehicle work
• Manage vehicle logistics to/from internal and external repair shops
• Drive and test each vehicle (~15 minutes) to identify drivability issues
• Support accounting with inventory audits
• Communicate findings to managers and maintain accurate documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Inventory Manager or Service Manager

Position Overview

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License (Required)
• Ability to drive and inspect vehicles regularly
• Background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly Rate: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
