Qualifications

• Familiarity with vehicle makes/models, engine components, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
• Experience in automotive parts, dismantling or salvage operations preferred.
• Able to interact effectively with customers and vendors.
• Excellent communication skills for in-person and phone interactions.
• Willingness to learn, adaptability, and self-motivation.
• Must lift 30-50 lbs and 100+ lbs with a two-person lift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment to ensure it is safe and in working condition.
• Drain all liquids in cars to appropriate receptacles.
• Pull Mercury Switches and place in appropriate receptacles.
• Assist in placing and moving vehicles in the yard.
• Use power and hydraulic tools to remove auto parts.
• Help clean and maintain shop and equipment.
• Break down wheels and tires.
• Follow safety and environmental processes.
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery.
• Unload incoming cars and move cars to/from racks while keeping area clean.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
