Job summary

Wrench ‘N Go is seeking a Production Worker in Des Moines, IA to assist in prepping vehicles for the auto salvage yard. The role emphasizes hands-on automotive experience and safe dismantling practices in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with vehicle systems, capable of lifting heavy objects, and able to operate power tools while maintaining quality and efficiency in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with vehicle makes/models, engine components, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
• Previous experience in automotive parts, or dismantling/salvage operations preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs and 100+lbs on 2-person lift.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle vehicles and extract fluids, remove batteries, mercury switches and converters.
• Efficiently drain liquids into proper receptacles and safely dispose of parts.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning.
• Move vehicles within the yard and support in setting them for dismantling.
• Use power and hydraulic tools to remove auto parts and components.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and equipment.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures.
