Job summary

Belle Tire Inc. in Vernon Hills, IL seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading daily operations, driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

You will develop team members, model Belle Tire's culture, and ensure a premium customer experience while preparing for future store leadership. You will oversee coaching, frontline performance, shift leadership, and store metrics, partnering with the Store Manager to manage P&L, inventory, and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of leadership experience in a retail or related customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Financial literacy and comfort with operational reporting and performance metrics.
• Proficiency in POS systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in coaching, developing, and motivating the store team.
• Lead by example to foster accountability, teamwork, and engagement.
• Act as manager on duty in Store Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity.
• Champion Belle Tire’s six-step sales process to drive sales and customer trust.
• Oversee daily store functions, including scheduling, inventory, and shop coordination.
• Assist with P&L management by monitoring sales, labor, and expenses.
• Promote a culture that aligns with Belle Tire’s values and brand.
