Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Representative, Auto | Property Damage to analyze and process auto claims and lower level injuries in the United States. The role involves assessing damage, issuing payments, and ensuring documentation accuracy, while meeting state deadlines and pursuing subrogation where appropriate.

You will maintain client relations, perform coverage and liability analyses, and collaborate with insured, clients, and brokers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjusting licenses required.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies.
• Ability to review Property Damage estimates and negotiate claims.
• Knowledge of total loss processing and salvage forms.
• Excellent oral and written communication with presentation skills.
• Analytical, organized, and able to work in a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto property damage and lower level injury claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded based on the policy.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contract deadlines and move the file towards resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker as appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
