Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Representative, Auto | Property Damage. The role analyzes and processes low to mid-level auto and transportation claims, assesses damage, negotiates settlements, and documents files.

You will pursue subrogation, manage deadlines, and maintain client relations within a collaborative team environment. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and state adjusting licenses where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies.
• Ability to review Property Damage estimates and negotiate claims.
• Knowledge of total loss processing and salvage forms is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto property damage and lower level injury claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and ensures claim files are properly documented and correctly coded based on the policy.
• Develops and maintains action plans to ensure state required contract deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker when appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
