Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Representative for Auto | Property Damage to analyze and process low to mid-level auto and transportation claims. The role focuses on damage assessment, payments, documentation, and policy-based coding.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and applicable state adjusting licenses, with strong communication and analytical skills to support timely, accurate resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjusting licenses as required.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
• Ability to review Property Damage estimates and negotiate first/third party claims.
• Knowledge of total loss processing, salvage forms, and title requirements is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Analytical and interpretive skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to meet or exceed service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto property damage and lower level injury claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and ensures claim files are properly documented and correctly coded based on the policy.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contract deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and agent or broker when appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality programs.
