Genuine Parts Company (GPC) operates a leading auto parts network and is expanding its store leadership team in New York. The role focuses on supervising store staff, driving sales performance, and maintaining high customer service standards in a fast-paced setting.

The position emphasizes hands-on leadership, vendor relations, inventory control, and adherence to company policies. A combination of HS diploma and technical schooling is valued, with experience in the aftermarket sector preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school, and/or college degree a plus.
• Requires leadership experience in auto aftermarket service.

Responsibilities

• Monitors store sales performance daily, weekly, monthly and YTD.
• Identifies problems and solves them effectively.
• Develops good customer relations and maintains a high level of service to the customer.
• Addresses customer sales/service questions quickly.
• Supervises and coaches store employees.
• Monitors and recognizes performance of employees.
• Minimizes inventory shrinkage through proper processes and procedures.
• Ensures merchandise is received timely and stored properly.
• Creates a safe work environment and ensures HazMat training.
• Reduces Worker's Compensation time loss.
• Interprets and complies with Company policies.
• Collaborates with the District office to maintain procurement card controls.
• Negotiates with vendors on pricing, inventory and service.
