Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts Georgetown, DE is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who blends automotive knowledge with customer service leadership to run the retail store and support the Store Manager.

You will oversee counter sales, inventory, delivery coordination, scheduling, and staff development while maintaining a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment and a commitment to excellent customer care and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• The position requires leadership experience and a background in the automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn.
• Experience in a parts store, retail, or related management role is highly valued.
• Knowledge of inventory management or cataloging systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales, inventory health and labor planning.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels (in-store, phone, dealer calls).
• Lead opening/closing routines, safety, cash reconciliation and daily reporting.
• Oversee scheduling, compliance docs, performance tracking and basic P&L items.
• Provide coaching and development for store staff to ensure continuity and standards.
