Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and help achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, and suppliers.

The position can be part-time or full-time, with safety certification preferred. You will assist customers in-store and over the phone, perform DIY services, and maintain inventory and store standards.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and management
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedures
• Use basic math for common calculations in all units of measure
• Ability to work a mix of days, evenings and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and by phone
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its targets
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Handle inventory processes including truck put-away, cycle counts and back stock
• Keep store clean and stocked; assist with back stock and general stocking
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Operate POS and parts lookup systems; use delivery board if applicable
