Job summary

Wilbert’s, a family owned automotive recycling company based in Webster NY, is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our Warehouse/Inventory team. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with a competitive hourly wage and great benefits. Expect duties around inventory management, VIN decoding, part identification, photos, light mechanical work, and Safety compliance.

You will also audit items, organize storage, and prepare shipments, with training provided on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
• Quality Control and Forklift Training and Certifications are available onsite.

Responsibilities

• Determine which parts can be added to inventory through processes and best practices.
• Decode vehicle VINs using online tools.
• Identify vehicle parts and specifications using industry tools and research.
• Photograph automotive parts.
• Use light mechanical tools.
• Audit parts to ensure quality and resolve discrepancies with our software.
• Assess part condition using industry guidelines.
• Organize inventory for easy storage and retrieval.
• Prepare parts for storage or shipment with proper packaging.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
