Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead to supervise and develop a team of hourly associates at our Inspection Center. You will manage car movements for repairs, ensuring production and quality targets are met while fostering a safe, respectful, and high-performing work environment.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, achieving daily/weekly/monthly goals, and partnering with the General Manager to assess inventory quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years).
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely while meeting production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned team; identify strengths/weaknesses; determine opportunities and steps to improve.
• Engage team with coaching, development and performance management; provide feedback.
• Create a work environment that inspires communication, team cohesion, and adherence to Carvana’s Values.
• Proactively communicate information to team members with clear expectations and goals.
• Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures and standards.
• Review and approve identified mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
• Lead a team with GM to repair or reject inventory based on cost and quality.
• Train team using Quality Control standards to minimize re-checks and delays.
• Identify and complete repairs effectively the first time to minimize re-work.
• Work safely to prevent injuries; wear safety equipment as required.
• Delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple associates.
