Job summary

Transtar is seeking a Counter Sales team member to support walk‑in customers and assist with inside and outside sales. You will work closely with Branch Managers on product sales, promotions, and branch goals, communicating professionally with customers, staff, and vendors.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with part selection, processing orders, and maintaining accurate inventories. Previous automotive parts experience and strong Excel/Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vehicle parts, fitment and OEM/competitive parts evaluation.
• Experience with automotive parts interchange.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the counter and with inside/outside sales.
• Provide price quotes and explain parts information to customers.
• Process orders, prepare for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup.
• Notify managers of out-of-stock parts and source from external suppliers as needed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist in annual physical counts.
