Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring immediately for an automotive technician to help keep our fleet safe and reliable. You will perform preventive maintenance on newer vehicles across multiple brands, including oil changes, fluid services, tire changes, rotations, and basic repairs, with guidance as you grow.

You’ll work on-site in Jackson, Mississippi, at $16.00 per hour, with benefits such as paid time off, medical/dental insurance, a 401(k), and an FSA for transit or parking.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or automotive maintenance experience.
• Comfortable in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• On-site presence; remote work is not possible.
• 6 months auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive technical school program is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services on vehicles, including oil changes, fluid services, tire changes, tire rotations, and basic repairs.
• Work on a diverse fleet across multiple manufacturers, gaining exposure to various systems and technologies.
• Assist senior technicians as skills grow and take on additional maintenance tasks.
