Job summary

Security Finance is hiring a Collections Specialist in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on delinquent auto-loan accounts, managing communications, negotiating arrangements, and maintaining precise records. This is a full-time, on-site position with occasional local visits and flexible evening hours.

You will work with a team to resolve accounts, apply skip-tracing techniques, and collaborate with branches to support repossession processes while upholding customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of collections experience.
• Auto-finance, consumer-lending, or closely related collections experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume account queue with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned delinquent auto-loan accounts from early-stage delinquency through repossession referral and support.
• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound customer communications using approved channels.
• Negotiate payment arrangements within company guidelines and monitor payments.
• Maintain accurate account records and update contact information regularly.
• Identify accounts meeting repossession criteria and make branch recommendations.
• Coordinate with internal departments to provide required information and documentation.
• Conduct occasional local customer visits when outreach is unsuccessful.
• Complete welcome calls for newly opened auto-loan accounts and review options.
