Job summary

Safelite AutoGlass is seeking a Technician Trainee to be trained as a proficient auto glass technician. You’ll complete hands-on and classroom training to earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and perform unsupervised glass repair, replacement and recalibrations.

The trainee should embody the Safelite Spirit with a can-do attitude, care, and service mindset. You’ll be paid to learn with weekly pay starting at $21.25/hour, rising to $25.25/hour after training and certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma GED/Equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift 35–50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn Safelite procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way through hands-on and classroom training.
• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
• Provide additional services and products to customers.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified technician.
• Safely operate company vehicles and tools; comply with policies.
