Job summary

Safelite is looking for a Technician Trainee in Richmond, Virginia. This position will train you to be a proficient auto glass technician, where you will learn hands-on and classroom techniques, leading to Safelite SafeTech certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic tests.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles.

Skills

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds

Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools

Problem-solving and troubleshooting

Ability to read, write and interpret English

Education

High School Diploma GED/Equivalent Preferred
