Job summary

Octane Lending is seeking an Underwriter to work with dealers across engagement levels, guiding them through underwriting guidelines and the contracting platform. You will collaborate with the sales team to nurture relationships while delivering outstanding service.

Requires 1–2 years in loan underwriting/processing with sales or customer service experience, plus knowledge of DTI/PTI/LTV. Shift is 10:00–19:00 CST with rotating Saturdays; on-site in Irving, TX with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED required.
• 1–2 years in Loan Underwriting or Loan Processing, plus sales/customer service experience.
• Knowledge of debt-to-income, payment-to-income, and loan-to-value ratios.
• Experience in automotive or powersports dealerships is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret income sources and supporting documents.

Responsibilities

• Review applicant information and financial records for accuracy per underwriting guidelines.
• Evaluate loan applications against lending standards and inspect for fraud.
• Engage dealer partners via calls, texts, chats, and emails to increase funded loans.
• Explain loan programs, platform functionality, and decline reasons with approvals context.
• Explain regression model and loan terms to provide a path forward for dealers.
• Onboard and support new dealers in using the platform and structuring contracts.
• Assist consumers on the consumer platform and hand off to dealers as needed.
