Job summary

AutoNation in Irvine, CA is seeking a Credit Analyst to underwrite and review applications from new and used automotive dealers, communicate decisions, and uphold fair lending practices. This onsite role requires 2–5 years in consumer auto finance underwriting, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships with dealer principals and sales teams.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years underwriting experience in consumer auto finance.
• Thorough knowledge of credit review process and scoring.
• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build business relationships with dealer principals, sales teams, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and underwrite complex auto loans within company guidelines.
• Assist with negotiation of contracts based on lending guidelines.
• Interact daily with automotive dealerships and gather information needed to make appropriate credit decisions with the ability to explain the rationale behind credit decisions.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with assigned automotive dealership base
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with peers and Sales Managers
