Job summary

Cox Enterprises is seeking a Detail Shop Technician in Albuquerque to ensure vehicles sent to the Detail Shop are cleaned and detailed to sale condition according to customer specifications and Auction standards by inspecting vehicles and work areas upon completion of reconditioning work.

The role involves cleaning interiors, removing debris, washing and buffing exteriors, detailing trim, and ensuring safe operation by following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• You must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, squat, and lean for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and work areas to ensure reconditioning meets customer specifications and Auction standards.
• Clean interior by removing debris from ashtrays, console, dashboard, seats and trunk.
• Remove plates, stickers and writing on windows; disassemble spare tires in trunk.
• Wash and power-clean engine compartment; clean battery terminals.
• Detail and buff exterior surfaces, dress trim and windows with brushes.
• Vacuum, scrub, shampoo and spot-clean carpets and upholstery; straighten seatbelts.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including driving vehicles to and from the detail area.
