Job summary

Ted Britt Automotive Group in Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. You will perform preventive maintenance and service work per manufacturer specs, upholding dealership quality standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of technician experience, with ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred. Strong reading of repair manuals and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years automotive technician experience (dealership experience preferred).
• ASE certification(s) or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
• Perform maintenance and service work per manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding repair needs and timelines.
• Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing technical training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience (dealership experience preferred).
• ASE certification(s) or manufacturer certification(s) preferred.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical service bulletins.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
