Job summary

Ted Britt Automotive Group in Chantilly, VA seeks an experienced Automotive Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, and emissions components. You will perform scheduled maintenance, read wiring diagrams, and coordinate with service advisors to provide accurate time estimates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of diesel repair experience.
  • ASE Diesel Certification or manufacturer certification preferred.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong reading of manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, and emissions components.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on diesel vehicles.
  • Communicate with service advisors regarding needed repairs and time estimates.
  • Ensure all work is performed to manufacturer and dealership standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical training and certifications.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of diesel repair experience (dealership experience preferred).
  • ASE Diesel Certification(s) or manufacturer certification(s) strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, computers, and specialized equipment.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and emission controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and mechanical skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
