Job summary

Tasca Chevrolet Collision Center in Wheeling is seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician to join our award-winning team. Competitive pay, union benefits, sign-on bonus, and Local 701 benefits accompany this full-time role.

Responsibilities include planning repairs with Repair Planners, performing body work per OEM specs, and communicating with the Body Shop Manager about additional work and timelines.

Qualifications

• Two years of collision repair experience.
• Strong understanding of the service drive and body shop.
• Dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination.
• Basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with a customer service mentality.
• Team player with collaboration skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with Repair Planners to create an accurate repair plan for each vehicle.
• Perform body work per shop order and dealership policies.
• Communicate with Body Shop Manager about additional work and timing.
• Repair collision damaged vehicles per OEM specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service with the customer perspective in mind.
• Meet deadlines and contribute to a team exceeding customer expectations.
