Graff Chevrolet Durand is seeking a quality-driven certified collision technician to join our top-performing, nationally recognized body shop. You will restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, perform welds and body repairs, and work as part of a team to meet high standards.

Applicants must be state certified and hold a valid driver's license with insurable driving record. I-CAR training is preferred, and a sizeable signing bonus is offered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.

• Perform welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operations.
• Document all work performed upon job completion.

Job description

If you are a quality-driven certified collision technician with high attention to detail, this is the position for you. Graff Chevrolet Durand is a top-performing, nationally recognized dealership eager to stay on top. As a result, we are looking for a professional with a reputation for quality work to join our body shop. Strong restorative and repair skills as well as the ability to achieve results are needed as well as the ability to perform with a team. Must be state certified. Prior body shop repair or training and I-CAR are preferred. A valid drivers license with an insurable driving record is required. A basic list of duties is below:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Collision Technicians are responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This is done in accordance with the standard specification to quality of job and to ensure satisfaction of the Customer and the Company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Communicate with body shop office to obtain the needed parts
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Perform all body repairs according to estimate
• Perform welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operations
• Assessing and analyzing the damaged areas to prep for painting
• Establish a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty work
• Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Operate all equipment in Collision Center in a safe manner
• Documents all work performed as soon as the job is completed
• Uses basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing chemicals
• Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes
