Job summary

Shaheen Chevrolet of Lansing is seeking an Auto Body & Collision Technician for our new state-of-the-art body shop opening in late 2026. Experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles per estimates and manufacturer standards.
• Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work.
• Notifies management of additional repairs or difficulties.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good repair.
• Adhere to safety regulations when handling hazardous materials.
• Assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
