Job summary

Mcgrath Acura ChicagoAuto Group in Chicago is seeking a motivated individual for front-line billing and customer service duties. You will handle payments, deposit checks, scan paperwork, and assist with filing when needed.

The role involves operating the dealership’s computer and switchboard, delivering friendly, professional service and directing customers to the appropriate department. Spanish bilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Handle customer bills using dealership computer system.
• Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments and record them.
• Issue receipts and make change accurately.
• Answer phones and direct callers to the right department.
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer them as needed.
• Operate the switchboard efficiently and professionally.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Deposit checks by scanning them into our banking system
• Stock vehicles into the system
• Scanning paperwork
• Answering phones
• Accepting payments

Qualifications:

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Answer phones and direct consumers to the proper department, and follow up in a timely manner
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Operate the switchboard telephone system
• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
• Assist the managers with various clerical duties as needed
• Be friendly, professional, courteous, and efficient when working with all customers and employees
• Familiarize yourself with department structures & internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
