Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Flint, MI to deliver exceptional customer experiences by thoroughly assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars while maintaining speed, quality, and customer excellence as a Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

The role emphasizes accurate estimates, chassis realignment, part replacement, welding and painting, and strict adherence to labor guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers using appropriate tools.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass, or interior parts as needed.
• Weld and refinish with factory-specified paint or equivalents.
• Complete work within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
