Responsibilities

1. Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
2. Communicates with team members regarding vehicle repair status.
3. Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time completion.
4. Makes repair vs. replace decisions considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
5. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components, and trim to access vehicle and fenders.
6. Participates in safety meetings.
7. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
8. Supervises or directs apprentices as needed, explaining procedures and solving problems.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must pass a thorough background check.

The position offers a competitive compensation package, based on experience, skills, and certifications. It is paid on a commission/flag rate structure, guaranteeing a minimum wage for all hours worked. The listed pay range is an average for full-time employees.
