Gerber Collision & Glass in Kingston, NY is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision and pride. You’ll disassemble, repair, reassemble, and refinish cars while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence.

A high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship are required. This role offers competitive pay with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of repair methods and tools used in auto body work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Hammers out dents, dimples and minor body damage; applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replaces damaged sections and glass; restores paint to factory spec.
• Inspects completed work to ensure quality and adherence to KPIs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
