Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in New York is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional, high-quality repairs and customer experience. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, accuracy, and adherence to KPIs while representing the brand with professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training (or a 3-year apprenticeship) and the ability to work with various auto body tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools like cutting guns and plasma cutters to repair vehicle sections.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged parts and repair/replace glass as needed.
• Weld and reattach parts; prep and repaint to factory standards.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect finished work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
