Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. You will thoroughly disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition while supporting our speed, quality and customer-excellence goals.

You will work with team members, read repair orders, plan the work, and use tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Disassemble and repair vehicle bodies; use tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections; repair glass and interior parts; repaint as needed.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect vehicles for quality.
