Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while collaborating with team members to meet KPIs and act as a Brand Ambassador.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with formal training or apprenticeship in auto body repair, and proficiency with the tools of the trade.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Understanding of methods and tools used to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins where feasible.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
