Job summary

Boyd Group Services is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. The role focuses on meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles to restore pre-accident condition, ensuring speed, quality and customer excellence across the shop.

You will disassemble, repair and reassemble vehicles, maintain standards, and collaborate with teammates to meet KPIs while upholding the company’s Brand Ambassador promise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and how to use the trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins to repair dents when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts and assemble components.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
