Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Michigan. You will assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassemble/reassemble parts, and uphold our speed, quality, and customer-excellence commitments.

You will work with the team to meet KPIs while serving as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group. The role involves performing repairs per guidelines, using cutting tools, and ensuring workmanship aligns with factory specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare customer cost estimates using tools to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when necessary.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass as needed.
• Repair interior parts as required.
• Weld and reattach parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect post-repair vehicles.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
