Job summary

The Boyd Group in Huntington, WV is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver meticulous vehicle repairs and an exceptional customer experience, restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition. You disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

You will plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and use cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to fix sections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer preferred.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with others in an auto body shop.
• Strong understanding of repair methods and appropriate use of tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed; realigns chassis and frames.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and interior parts.
• Welds and attaches parts; prepares and repaint vehicles to spec; inspect work for quality.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and perform related duties.
