Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Summerville, SC to deliver high-quality collision repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You’ll disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence.

You’ll plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, use cutting tools, weld, realign frames, replace parts and repaint to factory specs. Inspect workmanship to ensure KPI targets and safety in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of auto body repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Repair vehicle body using cutting tools, filler resins, and structural realignment.
• Replace or repair damaged sections and glass, weld and repaint per spec.
• Inspect completed work for quality and KPI compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
