Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan is seeking an Auto Body Technician to meticulously repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble, realign frames, replace parts, and apply factory-finished paint to meet speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team in a busy shop and contribute to delivering WOW results

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting tools to repair sections and replaces damaged parts.
• Realigns chassis and frames to fix structural damage and restores paint finish.
• Welds and attaches parts, ensuring quality and safety.
• Inspects vehicles after repair to ensure proper completion.
