Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, replace damaged sections with new parts, and restore glass, interior components, and paint to factory specs.

In this role you will work with a team to meet KPI targets, use specialized tools, and adhere to safety guidelines in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan repairs and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass and windshields.
• Weld and attach parts, repaint to factory specs.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
