Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle assessment and quality repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, aligning with our KPI-driven environment and acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

You will work with a team to ensure speed, quality, and customer excellence, handling tasks from dent repair to repaint work, while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts; weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles per specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
