Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition while upholding our standards of speed, quality, and customer excellence.

You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and refinish vehicles, ensuring repairs meet factory specs and safety standards. A strong teamwork mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of auto body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles; ensure alignment and quality.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections; replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Aim to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect for quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
