Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experiences through meticulous repair work. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence while aligning with team KPIs and serving as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a technical program or apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers. Uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasible.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; replaces or repairs glass and interior parts as needed.
• Welds and preps/paints vehicles to factory-specified standards and completes work orders within labor time guidelines.
