Job summary

Severn Auto Body in Annapolis, MD, is seeking a full-time Auto Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, following OEM-certified processes and the shop's quality standards. You will remove damaged parts, install replacements, and work with a team to meet schedule demands.

Applicants should have 1–3 years in collision repair or a relevant tech program, read repair orders, and operate a frame machine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of collision repair experience or completion of a technical school program, or apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes and manufacturer procedures.
• Able to read and work from job orders and estimates with little supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use a frame machine; I-CAR welding certification preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, crouch, and reach in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles according to the estimate and quality standards.
• Restore body panels, structural components, and outer body parts to pre-accident condition.
• Communicate with management regarding additional repairs or delays.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and operate safely.
• Keep work area clean and safe; wear PPE as required.
• Assist team members with repairs based on workload.
• Comply with regulations governing body shop operations.
