Classic Collision is seeking a collision repair technician to join our Tacoma-area shop. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring workmanship meets industry standards and safety requirements.

A valid driver's license and 2–3 years of collision repair experience are preferred, with a focus on teamwork and high-quality customer service. Work involves using a range of tools and performing inspections, with attention to minimizing time and expenses while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedure following work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, electrical and hydraulic components to gain access to damaged area; store parts to prevent damage.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding; ensure gaps and fits meet standards.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to the Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for safety and quality compliance.
• Comply with Classic Collision SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
